Proliance Surgeons, Inc., P.S. was formed through the merger of Surgical Associates of Washington with Orthopedic Consultants of Washington on January 1, 2002. Proliance is one of the largest surgical practices in the country, with 160 physicians specializing in Orthopedic, Ear, Nose & Throat and General Surgery. Proliance is committed to providing the highest quality of care available.

In 1993 several major orthopedic clinics in Western Washington joined together to form Orthopedic Consultants of Washington (OCW). OCW began operations in January 1994 with 8 Orthopedic Care Centers and 50 physicians. At the time of the merger, OCW had grown to 75 Orthopedic surgeons and physicians. All orthopedic surgeons have training in general orthopedics with additional specialized training in sports medicine, joint reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, spine surgery, hand surgery, foot surgery, fracture care, and/or major orthopedic trauma.

Surgical Associates of Washington (SAW) was established in January 1998, bringing together 8 established general surgery clinics and 24 physicians in the Puget Sound community. At the time of the merger, SAW had grown to 40 physicians who serve the surgical needs of our communities. All surgeons have training in general surgery, with additional specialized training in breast, thoracic, vascular and/or colo-rectal surgery.

Today Proliance has over 30 Care Centers with 160 physicians and 65 allied health professionals providing orthopedic, general, thoracic, otolaryngological and vascular surgical services as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) throughout the Puget Sound region. Proliance physicians provide care at conveniently located offices throughout King, Snohomish, Pierce, Island and Skagit counties. Many of our physicians are women, offering the only female physician option to patients for comprehensive general surgery, ENT and orthopedic surgery.

In the operating room and out, we care for patients with all types of orthopedic, ENT and general surgery needs. Primary care doctors entrust us with their patients and their own families. We are committed to providing excellent surgical care to our patients.
