OPA is the region’s premier provider of treatment and surgery related to sports injuries. We are proud to be the team physicians for Seattle’s professional sports teams, including the Seahawks and Mariners.

Essential Functions:

The Physician Assistant (PA-C) will be assisting the physician who takes care of the Seahawks and Mariners in all capacities of patient care, with an emphasis in sports medicine and a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle as well as anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic rotator cuff and labral repair of the shoulder and ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction of the elbow (Tommy John surgery).  The PA-C will perform Viscosupplementation and Platelet Rich Plasma/PRP injections.

This PA-C will provide patient care in the clinic, the outpatient operating room and very occasionally in the hospital units. Our successful candidate will provide direct clinical, surgical and administrative support to the physician, while treating our patients with respect and an emphasis on high-quality orthopedic care.

Education/ Experience:

  • This position requires documented completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • A current Washington State Physician Assistant license
  • Candidates ideally will have at minimum 1-2 years of general orthopedic experience, with preference given to those with sports orthopedics or athletic training background as well as experience or training with EMR (we utilize EPIC)

  • Ideal candidates will be highly organized
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Hardworking and have a passion for sports focused orthopedic care
  • NCCPA certification is required and ATC background desired but not required
