Proliance Orthopedic Associates, a division of Proliance Surgeons, Inc., is seeking a full-time certified medical assistant to work in a busy Orthopedic Practice.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of patient care
  • Including assisting physicians in clinic
  • Tracking physician schedule
  • Patient phone calls
  • Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery
  • Preparing injections
  • Vitals
  • Completion of various insurance forms/ paperwork

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Able to plan, anticipate and forecast proactively
  • Ability to manage a schedule with changes coming unexpectedly
  • Review and summarize consult requests for surgeon
  • Demonstrates strong and effective communication skills
  • Possesses high level of organization, problem-solving and prioritizing skills
  • Takes initiative in performing tasks
  • Demonstrates self-motivation
  • Exhibits self-management skills and basic business and technical knowledge
  • Able to act quickly and follow through when problems occur
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability
  • Must be a team player
  • Individual must be flexible and willing to provide coverage for other surgeons in the practice as necessary you are part of a team with auxiliary staff to schedule surgery and tests. You need to be able to step in and do these tasks part of a team when necessary.

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday with complete benefit package. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Long –Term Disability, 401K Retirement and Profit and Sharing Plan, Holidays, and paid time off.
