An ideal candidate will have customer service experience (medical or insurance office experience is preferred), an ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a team, be able to multitask efficiently, possess strong computer skills and the ability to learn a variety of computer programs. .
In this position you will:
Schedule patient appointments and follow up appointments
Acquire insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations
Prepare and maintain the patients’ medical records
Answering multiple phone lines and triaging calls
Partner in the orientation and training of new staff
Occasionally be assigned projects to accomplish independently
Assist in scheduling surgeries and/or procedures
Act as contact for clinic providers, patient and family, referring physicians, outside agencies, outside staff and public by providing information regarding clinic’s services
Communicate with health care team members regarding the status and/or completion of care coordination activities
This Individual will need to multitask between making appointments for numerous doctors
Handle general inbound phone calls while also acting as a liaison between patients and medical assistants
This is a full time position Monday through Friday with a complete benefit package.
