Previous orthopedic experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. This position is Mondays, 10 hour day, with no nights, no weekends, and no call.

Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs during the surgical procedure
Maintain strict surgical consciousness and sterile technique throughout the procedure
Assist in patient positioning and transfer as needed, adhering to universal precautions at all times
Demonstrate knowledge of and appropriate technique for cleaning instruments, wrapping, packaging and sterilizing instrumentation, and other supplies in accordance with facility policy and procedure
Maintain appropriate records of sterilizing instruments, supplies and equipment
Plan and pull appropriate instruments and supplies for upcoming cases
Perform cleaning tasks as assigned including OR turnover, OR termination and general cleaning schedule.
