The role of the Front office Supervisor is to help oversee front office staff and act as a working supervisor, supporting the front office manager, using excellent communication skills while leading by example.
Reporting to: Front office manager
The employee is expected to embrace and meet the three pillars of Proliance Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine: Teamwork, Patient Experience, and Process/Procedure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
Check-in and registration of patients, verification of information on established patients, verify insurance and update patient information in practice management software and electronic health record
Preparing charts daily and posting co-pays
Participating in the interview process
Training of new hires
Participating in performance reviews
Documenting and managing progressive discipline (in coordination with the front office manager and clinic director)
Managing weekly schedules (i.e. vacation) in supportive role alongside the front office manager
Maintaining and providing front desk coverage
Facilitating flow of patients by coordinating with clinical staff
Oversee Interpretation service scheduling
Manage the stock of business cards and registration packets
Patient and pleasant personality; works well with a variety of people
Ability to work independently, with little supervision
Interfaces well with staff and physicians
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
3+ years medical office Lead/Supervisor experience
NextGen and EMR/EPIC experience (desired)
