Clinic Summary

Minor and James Surgery Center is a freestanding ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in the Pacific Northwest.  We are  a two operating room, multi-specialty ASC with a strong focus on ENT and Podiatry procedures. Surgeons from Proliance, PacMed, , and a host of smaller surgical groups practice at Minor and James Surgery Center.

 

Position Summary

The RN in the ASC provides expert professional nursing care for the patient in all peri-operative phases.  The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of the patient.

The essential qualities necessary include, but are not limited to:

  • Superior customer service skills
  • Great interpersonal skills; demonstrating patience, composure and cooperation; working well with all patients, physicians and staff.
  • Understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management and precautionary procedures, including the consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Problem solving skills
  • Skill in using a computer
  • Knowledge of orthopedics and ENT
  • Outpatient clinical organizational ability

 

Education/Experience/Skills

Education/Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current State licensure and CPR, ACLS and PALS accreditation
  • Two years of OR, Recovery Room, Intensive Care or Emergency Room experience is desired       

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Problem solving skills
  • Skill in using a computer
  • Knowledge of orthopedics and ENT
  • Outpatient clinical organizational ability
