No nights or weekends. Limited full-time (30-35 hrs. per week) to possibly transition to (full-time 36-40 hrs. per week). Salary is dependent on experience.
Experience in General Surgery and Urology surgery is preferred. Please note that you must be a Registered Nurse with the State of Washington with experience in the Operating Room to be considered for this position.
Our Operating Room Nurses provide individualized care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
Assessments, planning, pre- and post-operative education to patients
Physical and emotional support to families
Individual will partner with doctors and other clinical professionals to ensure rooms are prepared for patient procedures
Assisting the entire surgical team with prepping instruments, supplies, and passing appropriate tools to surgeons, per directives
Our chosen individual will take and monitor patient vitals
Prepare and administering prescribed medications, (in accordance to policy)
Individual pays close attention to any patient reactions to medications or treatments and initiates corrective action when equipment data shows adverse symptomatology
As an OR RN, you'll respond to life-saving situations, relying on nursing standards and protocol, ensuring appropriate measures are taken
Current WA RN licensure
Current ACLS & BLS certification
1-2 years of Operating Room experience required in Circulating
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to interact with all levels of staff
Flexibility to meet staffing requirements based on resource requirements
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
