GLAUCOMA NEEDS YOU!  Come join our Glaucoma practice in Seattle!  We have Ophthalmic Technician positions available! While we prefer previous Ophthalmic Technician experience, we are willing to train the right candidate who is excited, motivated and has a high aptitude for learning new and exciting skills. CMA’s - your skills are needed, we would love to talk with you! If you would like the opportunity to come help build a practice from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you! We offer a generous benefit package, including paid downtown parking!

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in typing / proficiency with computers
  • Experience using EMR’s (experience with Next Gen is a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask & work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability of managing tasks involving high level of detail & excellent Written/Verbal Communication Skills
  • Professionalism and common courtesy at all times
  • Ability to work well in a strong team setting
  • JCAHPO certification preferred, but not required

Daily Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Patient history: History of Present Illness (HPI), past medical history, social history, family history
  • Obtain and update patient medication lists and vital signs
  • Administration of Eye Drops, Performs Visual Acuity Testing, Pupillary Exam
  • Applination Tonometry, Confrontation Visual Field Testing, Extraocular Muscle Function testing (EOM)
  • Perform perimetry (automated, Goldmann)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging (OCT/ fundus photography)
  • Rooming patients/preparing in-office procedures (laser / injections)
  • Provide patient education support
  • Triage patient phone calls
  • Cleaning instruments using standard sterile processes
  • Cleaning, stocking inventory, opening/closing exam rooms
  • Other clinical administrative tasks as needed
  • Pachymetry
  • Refractometry
  • IOL Master/ IOL calc’s
  • Clinical procedure tray setup/assisting
