Position Summary

Proliance Puyallup Surgeons, a successful regional medical group in Puyallup is seeking a full time medical front office receptionist for our busy surgery center.

Position Summary

Candidates MUST have 2 years of medical office experience, be able to learn quickly, be very detail oriented, have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations. The ideal candidate will be friendly, motivated and work well in a team environment. Our valuable front office staff is our patient’s first impression of our clinic!

HOURS: Full time; Monday – Friday

No “call” or weekends

The receptionist is expected to perform position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Checking patients in/out
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering multi-line phones
  • Prepping charts
  • Scan documents into patient charts
  • Other duties as assigned

The essential qualities necessary include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 years of medical office experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to ensure effective communication with surgeons, patients, family members and the health care community
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Comprehension of basic medical terminology
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • EMR experience in Nextgen, EPIC and Amkai a PLUS!
  • Communication with physicians’ offices coordinating surgeries


  • High school diploma

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • This position may be stressful at times.
  • Working 40 hours per week. Some responsibilities may require longer work hours in order to complete assignments.
