Position Summary

Everett Bone and Joint, a division of Proliance Surgeons, is currently seeking a full-time PACU Nurse to provide care for patients in the Recovery Room.  The RN will assess, evaluate and implement care for the patient post operatively.

  1. Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care of the patient
  2. Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with the patients, their families, physicians and staff.
  3. Maintain good physical and mental health
  4. Patient/family education throughout the pre-operative, surgical and post-operative.
  5. Document care appropriately.
  6. Maintain license and continuing education to meet state requirements and to keep current with health care changes.
  7. Display professionalism in the work place and in the community as a representative of Everett Bone and Joint.
  8. Strong assessment and care skills in the surgical patient.


  1. Participate as a team member in support of the total perioperative process by delivering safe, effective pre and post-operative care with attention to requirements specific to the outpatient setting.
  2. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  3. Needs to have a strong clinical knowledge and skills to perform nursing assessments of the surgical patient and handle emergency situations appropriately.
  4. Must be able to prepare the patient for discharge to the home environment by providing the necessary education to the patient and their caregiver.
  1. Current license to practice nursing in Washington State. BSN and CAPA preferred.
  2. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  3. At least two years’ experience in the PACU; Orthopedics and Outpatient Surgery preferred.

  1. The ability to walk/sit/stand for 8-10 hrs per day
  2. Ability to lift 50 lbs, be in good physical condition to meet demands of an active position including extensive walking, lifting, moving stretcher and other equipment.
  3. Physically able to perform CPR.
