Rainier Orthopedic Institute launches SwiftPath joint replacement program
- Rainier Orthopedic Institute just launched the SwiftPath Program and hosted their first JointCamp. The SwiftPath program helps to prepare patients for joint replacement surgery and select the ideal patients for outpatient surgery. Rainier Orthopedic Institute joins other Proliance care centers in utilizing this program.
Improving the process of outpatient joint replacement takes institutional commitment and the SwiftPath Program is their valued partner through this journey. Thank you to Dr. Steedman, Dr. Adams, [ROI] Administrator Teri Miller, JointCamp Instructor DeAnna Hungerland and the entire team at Rainier Orthopedic Institute.
"When you can show that patients are doing well, complications are low, patients are happier, and costs are less—those things matter to patients, insurers, employers and all stakeholders in this whole process," said Dr. Steedman.
- The timing of this launch is especially good news considering the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is about to remove total knee arthroplasty from their inpatient only list. Read more about the rule change at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
