Richard L. Angelo, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with added qualification in sports medicine. He has specialty fellowship training in knee, shoulder, and sports medicine disciplines. His practice focuses is on the treatment of disorders of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip, including arthroscopic reconstructive and joint replacement procedures. He has a special interest in and has lectured nationally and internationally on the development of new arthroscopic reconstructive and minimally invasive surgical techniques for the knee and shoulder.
He is has served as president of the Arthroscopy Association of North America has been a member of their board of directors, and was chairman of their education committee. He assists other orthopedic surgeons in learning how to apply new minimally-invasive arthroscopic methods for the benefit of their patients.
Dr. Angelo is also an assistant clinical professor in the department of orthopedics at the University of Washington. He and his wife have three sons.
