Improved Patient Safety During COVID-19
Proliance Surgeons is focused on patient safety as our highest priority. Our surgeons and management team developed safety guidelines for care during the COVID-19 pandemic, taking direction from the Centers for Disease Control, the Washington State Department of Health, and the World Health Organization.
At the beginning of the pandemic, our physicians developed a roadmap for the safe resumption of surgery in our Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs) which was shared with the state’s Coronavirus taskforce.
Our surgery centers and care centers adopted:
Universal masking
Social distancing
Frequent disinfection of surfaces in our facilities
We’re pleased that the safe provision of elective surgery in outpatient surgery centers was recently validated by a study conducted by the ASC Quality Collaborative, showing that of the 84,446 patients included in the survey, only 16 of those tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days after their procedures.
