Overview

Charles A. Peterson II, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in sports medicine. He has extensive experience in general orthopedics, including trauma and fracture care, and total joint replacement of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He believes it is important to listen to his patients and answer their questions. He takes care to understand how an injury or condition is affecting each patient’s daily life and activities.

He was a team physician for the New York Mets, New York Giants, the Association of Tennis Professionals, and St. John’s University. He and his wife have two children. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
