Overview

W. Brandt Bede, MD, is a board-certified general orthopedic surgeon in both the United States and in Canada. He has been a practicing surgeon since 1972. He specializes in a variety of orthopedic conditions and performs a wide range of orthopedic procedures treating the upper and lower extremities, and has a professional focus on trauma, sports medicine, and joint reconstruction.

He believes that a one-on-one relationship with his patients is paramount, yet they can also take advantage of the strengths of the group practice, including immediate consultations, coverage by his colleagues when necessary, and a top-notch office staff.

After his medical education he was active duty, United States Navy, as an orthopedic surgeon in 1976 and 1977. He has been an orthopedic surgeon in the Tacoma area since that time. He has contributed to his community for many years as a member of the Pierce County YMCA Camp and Foundation Boards and the Tacoma Rotary Club. He has also been very involved in Shriners Hospitals for Children, holding membership as a Chairman of the Board of Governors and member of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors.
