Alexander Higgins, DO, is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Washington and further honed his expertise with a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

With a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University, Dr. Higgins has received numerous awards, including Resident Scholar from the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has published research in leading journals and presented at major conferences.

Dr. Higgins is dedicated to offering patient-specific treatment options, both nonsurgical and surgical, with extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle injuries. His expertise encompasses sports injuries, ankle instability, osteochondral lesions, Achilles tendon injuries, ankle arthritis (including total ankle replacement or fusion), midfoot and hindfoot arthritis, great toe arthritis, toe deformity correction, bunion correction, and complex deformities such as flatfoot and cavovarus foot reconstruction.

He provides a wide spectrum of customized treatment options, from minimally invasive techniques and advanced arthroscopy to major reconstructive procedures. Dr. Higgins is steadfast in his commitment to delivering the best care and patient-provider experience during challenging times of injury or dysfunction, supporting his patients every step of the way through rehabilitation and recovery.

In his spare time, Dr. Higgins enjoys spending quality time with his family, engaging in activities such as playing golf and hockey.
