Contracts Manager

Overview

Position Summary

Reviews all contracts for security, privacy and dissolution terms
identifies opportunities for vendor consolidation;
Negotiates contract terms with vendors;
Leads contract management process design initiatives as directed
Follow through on full contract lifecycle.
Proliance student affiliation program coordination

1. Supports the implementation of Contract Logix software, ensuring that the database is current, key dates are identified and appropriate stakeholders are identified for reminders.
2. Following policy, reviews all contracts that require CSO review. Upon request of Practice Leaders, Executive Team members and CSO Directors, reviews contracts for key compliance terms.
3. Contract review to meet Proliance Surgeon standards for HIPPA / PHI data security, storage, and transfer of data.
4. Central point of contract review.
5. Follows contract through full contract lifecycle (draft, modification, execution, amendment, etc).
6. Reviews contract terms to ensure that Proliance Surgeons’ standards for privacy and security compliance, indemnification, and termination are met.
7. Reviews all vendor requests to expand current agreement to ensure expanded agreement continues to comply with Proliance Surgeons’ privacy and security requirements.
8. Performs due diligence on potential vendors in coordination with Director of Compliance and key stakeholders.
9. Suggests and supports vendor consolidation when a new vendor is requested for a service/product already covered under contract.
10. Identifies opportunities for contract consolidation where multiple contracts with different vendors or same vendor with different provisions for the same goods or service exist across operations; manages consolidation process from identification of opportunity, engagement of stakeholders (operations, finance, other) through to final decision making/consolidation.
11. Provides input when requested for RFP drafting and process design.
12. Manages Proliance’s student affiliation program. Establishes relationships and agreements with schools for clinical rotations. Reaches out to schools to determine rotation needs, payment for MDs that are precepting and any other financial or time requirements. Under the direction of the CSO Operations team, coordinates clinics participation, which specialties want to participate, what schools they want to work with, student rotations – scheduling, assignments, etc. Sets expectations and gains agreement between school and providers. Ensures contract agreements are fulfilled.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• The Contract Manager reports to the V.P of ASC Operations and Value Based Care
• Executive Team members, CSO Directors, ASC Directors, Practice Managers, Surgeons, and Central Office team members

5 years of experience that includes healthcare contract review and negotiation.
MHA and/or Paralegal certification preferred.
Knowledge of requirements mandated by HIPPA and HITECH preferred.
Experience with use of contract management software, such as Contract Logix – a plus

The position is a hybrid position and may be performed remotely, with office days as requested. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to talk or hear. The teammate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
