Position Summary

Proliance Surgeons is one of the largest surgical practices in the country, with over 425 providers including over 250 board-certified physicians providing treatment at more than 100 care centers in Washington State. Our range of specialties includes orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, ear nose & throat, general surgery, ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynecology, urology and more.

Edmonds Orthopedic Center is looking for a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our busy 9 doctor care center.

The Medical Assistant will be a full time position.

The Medical assistant is expected to perform position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Take directions from providers as well as work as a team with fellow medical assistants
  • Communicate timely and effectively with co-workers and management on financial related matters with appropriate detail
  • Other tasks as assigned by management
  • Room your own patient
  • Check forms for accuracy
  • Obtain pre-auths
  • Triage calls
  • Stock exam rooms
  • Prep injections
  • Coordinate a high volume of patients

The essential qualities necessary include, but are not limited to:

  • Superior customer service skills
  • Great interpersonal skills; demonstrating patience, composure and cooperation; working well with physicians and staff
  • Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with physicians, management and staff
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Skill in organizing and reporting information that is accurate and complete.
  • Consistency and timeliness in attendance
  • Willing to learn how to cast


  • Prior healthcare experience in a fast paced environment a plus.
  • Have a Medical Assistant certificate, but not mandatory
  • NextGen, casting and orthopedic experience a plus


  • Room patients, check forms for accuracy, obtain authorizations, triage calls, stock exam rooms, prep injections and coordinate a high volume of patients.
  • NextGen, casting and orthopedic experience a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills and sound judgment.

  • This position may be stressful at times
  • Working 40 hours per week. Mon-Fri (no weekends) Some responsibilities may require longer work hours in order to complete assignments
