Overview

Position Summary

At Proliance Southwest Seattle Orthopedics, our physicians and staff work together to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. The role of the radiologic technologist ARRT is to work collaboratively with physicians, providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care with a focus on patient experience, safety, quality and efficiency. The radiologic technologist acts as a patient care coordinator and advocate, maintains x-ray supplies, proper documentation and an optimal patient flow and experience, following OSHA/WISHA/other compliance and regulatory guidelines.

HOURS: Full time; Monday – Friday between 7:30am – 6:30pm

• Provide physicians with quality diagnostic x-rays with minimum exposure to the patient. This includes providing adequate radiation protection for patients during procedures.
• Track down x-rays or tests if patient arrives without them.
• Mark proper x-ray charges on patient’s superbill.
• Accurately record all outside incoming and outgoing films in computer. Return films to outside sources when doctors are finished with them if appropriate.
• Prepare and send films to OR for following weeks surgeries.
• Prepare and send out films disk as requested by medical records or doctor.
• Order needed supplies for x-ray room and darkroom, including laundry delivery/pickup.
• Schedule routine maintenance on x-ray equipment and arrange for any necessary repairs.
• Keep all x-ray equipment clean. This includes x-ray table and cassette.
• Keep informed and educated on current development in radiology, as well as maintain CEU’s as required for license.
• Upload and disburse pt information into EMR chart.
• Label and file pt surgery images filing system.
• Assist with placing patients in exam rooms and preparing them for examination as needed.
• Schedule arthrograms, myleograms, MRI’s etc…as needed, also making sure appropriate authorization is received.
• Enter pt information (HPI/Exam/PMFSH) in pt EMR.
• Complete duties and assist others as directed

• Registered radiologic technologist in good standing with ARRT
• 1-2 years’ experience in a orthopedic medical office a plus
• Familiarity with or working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records a plus
• Basic computer knowledge and skills, including data entry

Work is performed in an office environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to stand and walk for long periods of time, `bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 60 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
