Senior Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager and finance department. This role is expected to have a strong sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between finance and our various physician-lead care centers.

• Review or prepare monthly tax account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and supporting analyses.
• Perform physician compensation calculations and reporting.
• Lease analysis
• General Tax Experience
• Prepare reconciliations as assigned and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Communicate timely and effectively with co-workers and management on financial related matters with appropriate detail.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with Intacct a plus.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with physicians, management and staff.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Skill in organizing and reporting information that is accurate and complete.
• Consistency and timeliness in attendance.
• State and local business and payroll tax preparation experience

• 2-5 years operational accounting experience in a similar role.
• Degree in accounting or related field.
• Prior healthcare experience in a fast paced environment a plus.
• Big-4 accounting experience a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines.
• Must have excellent time management skills and sound judgment.
